Last weekend

Peers was fun, I danced a bit, flirted a lot with several cute young men.  Turned down several dances, (sorry guys), but I think I was tired more due to lack or food that day vs the late hour.  (Sorry, no longer a night owl when I have to be at work by 8 every day), but I finally perked up a bit after chugging a Mountain Dew and sampling a couple of meatballs with my fingers (they served them late, no eating utensils available).  I had offered to volunteer to work at the door, but they didn't see my name on the list, although I found out that they overlooked it, but my friend got me in free so all is well.  The only thing I missed was that everyone seemed to be taken for the midnight Congress of Vienna, so I moved closed to the band and soaked in the music.  I really must buy their cd one of these days, but I didn't see any for sale there.
Ah well, I've already promised one guy I'll be at the next Palo Alto FNW for Halloween, so I'm actually looking forward to it.  The plan is to actually practice rotary waltz so I don't get so damned dizzy that it detracts from the fun of the waltz!  And I really need a refresher in Cross Step Mixer as well as Congress, I think its been at least a year since I've done either....
